Industrial Siting Consultation (ISC)

Prospective industrialists may submit industrial siting consultation on proposed uses of industrial premises. The landowner / building management's agreement for the proposed uses should be obtained prior to making this submission.

Please note that Industrial Siting Consultation is also known as Industrial Allocation Pre-consultation.

Environmental Information (EI)

Applicants must submit an application to NEA's Development Control and Licensing Department (DCLD) to request that environmental information (EI) such as building height constraint, health and safety buffer, etc. be made available for their projects. The EI application has to be submitted prior to the submission of Development Control (DC) plans.

Workers' Dormitory (WD)

NEA screens workers' dormitory submissions to ensure that the proposed workers' dormitories are not located within any health and safety (H&S) buffer area and/or areas affected by high ambient noise levels from aircraft operations. You do not have to submit a workers' dormitory application for i) change of ownership, and ii) continued use of workers' dormitory with decrease or no change in number of workers to be housed.

Energy Efficiency Opportunity Assessment (EEOA)

Improving energy efficiency is our key strategy for reducing emissions in all sectors of the economy. Energy Efficiency Opportunity Assessment for New Ventures requires companies to identify and evaluate energy efficiency opportunities for possible implementation to reduce emissions in the operating phase.

Environmental Impact Assessment

For submission for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports to NEA for review.

Pollution Control Study

Anyone intending to carry out any activities, which could cause substantial pollution of the environment or increase the level of such pollution, may be required to conduct a Pollution Control Study under Section 36 of the Environmental Protection and Management Act(EPMA). The Pollution Control Study shall be conducted by a Registered PCS Consultant.

Pollution Control Equipment

For submission of technical details of pollution control equipment, fuel-burning equipment and/or underground fuel tank to NEA(DCLD) for approval prior to installation and commencement of use.

Environmental Impact Study

An Environmental Impact Study (EIS) is required if a new residential / sensitive development is built in close proximity to existing nuisance-causing developments or vice versa e.g. petrol station in close proximity to residential development, etc.

Pre-Consultation Traffic Noise Impact Assessment (PCTNIA)

For submission of Traffic Noise Impact Assessment report for either new residential and noise sensitive developments located in close proximity to existing land traffic noise sources or new transport related developments, including expansion of transport related developments, in close proximity to existing residential and noise sensitive developments to demonstrate compliance with noise requirements.

Post Traffic Noise Impact Assessment (PTNIA)

For submission of Indoor noise measurement report conducted for either new residential and noise sensitive developments located in close proximity to existing land traffic noise sources or new transport-related developments, including expansion of transport-related developments, in close proximity to existing residential and noise sensitive developments to demonstrate compliance with noise requirements.

Quantitative Risk Assessment

For consultation / submission of Quantitative Risk Assessment reports to NEA only.
